“It’s All Related” is an interview series of interesting people and their stories. What they do and how it’s all related to our lives and the modern world around us. These one-on-one interview sessions will be held in public spaces and podcasts will be presented on this site.. A sample of topics to be covered will be mobile travel in the digital age, patient advocacy, documentary filmmaking and iPhoneography.

It's All Related presents photographer Mark Estes May 9th.

Mark Estes; photographer and future chaplain will be sharing his journey on how his photography has enlightened his understanding of the spiritual world around him. Plus how he will use creativity as tool to help people get a better understanding of life events.

Mark approaches his art/photography with the same “Beginners Mind” that he applies to chaplaincy studies, infant bereavement photography, cycling and marriage to his wife, Susan. The gift of a plastic Thunderbird camera at age 7 led him to study art at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in his hometown of Houston, TX., and later earn a B.F.A. at the K. C. Art Institute. His creative inspiration comes from a love of illustration, music, Bizarro comics and artists Duane Michaels, Robert and Shauna Parke-Harrison, Jackson Pollack and Mark Rothko.

Mark attends seminary at The Chaplaincy Institute for Arts and Interfaith Ministries and will be ordained in March of 2013. In June he begins as a spiritual care intern at Kaiser Hospital and a 1-yr. residency in Sept. He is an active cyclist, Area Coordinator/photographer for Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, Pathways Hospice volunteer, has served as the SF APA Success Team Coach, Sec. of Graphic Artists Guild and photographer for The Forgotten International.

Daniel Berman is a fine art photographer, filmmaker & digital artist with a specialty in landscapes, abstractions & people. He is the founder of the Mobile Photo Awards. Daniel will engage with Christian in a fun and lively discussion about iPhoneography, art, shooting stills vs motion and jazz music. Along with his entertaining manner he will also be displaying the winning samples of from the first Mobile Photo Awards.

Daniel Berman is a fine art photographer, filmmaker & digital artist with a specialty in landscapes, abstractions & people. He is the founder of the Mobile Photo Awards. With a background as a producer of nature and music programs for television, Daniel brings a lifelong passion for rhythm and the imagery of the natural world to his photographic art. He was born and raised in Toronto and now lives in the scenic hills surrounding Milton, Ontario.

Daniel has been active in the mobile photography scene since its inception. Known in the community as Reservoir_Dan, his photography has been exhibited in galleries in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Philadelphia, Oakland, Bangor, Miami, Alys Beach, and Italy.
He also runs an award-winning TV production company specializing in creating and producing nature, music and documentary programs for international broadcast. From Bravo to Discovery, from Mezzo to CBC his shows have been aired in over 50 countries.

Upcoming Guest Tarassa Humprey - March 27th.

Tarassa Humphrey became a patient advocate after her son Jeffrey passed away at the age of 61/2 from several medical challenges. She is a member of the Family Advisory Counsel at Children’s Hospital Oakland and recently traveled to Mongolia with a neurodevelopment team. She also supports families while also promoting awareness about the George Mark Children’s House, which provides pediatric respite care for children with life-limiting illnesses. Join Tarassa and moderator Christian Peacock as she shares her inspirational stories.

Tarassa Humphrey is the mother of Jeffrey Keith Humphrey, Jr., who died two years ago at the age of 6 ½. Jeffrey had several medical challenges, which led to numerous surgeries. Every part of Jeffrey’s body‒from the top of his head, to the bottom of his feet‒was operated on.

Tarassa is a member of the Family Advisory Counsel at Children’s Hospital Oakland, and is currently working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development with the goal of becoming a family advocate. She recently traveled to Mongolia as a parent advocate with a neurodevelopment team. In addition, Tarassa volunteers by using her experience in caring for Jeffrey as a teaching tool to help educate medical professions, families, and the community at-large about supporting families with children who are medically fragile and who have special needs. She also supports families during end-of-life care with their child, while also promoting awareness about the George Mark Children’s House, which provides pediatric respite and end-of-life care for children with life-limiting illnesses.
